My name is Rick Batista and I am the founder of JJ Nate Real Estate & Mgmt and head up the BATISTA Group. I’m a 3rd generation Roscoe Villager, 2nd generation Realtor, and lifelong Chicagoan.

On June 18th, to show my love and passion for our neighborhood, our city, and real estate, my company will be kickstarting the Smarter Arters program: a series of sidewalk murals portraying various Chicago neighborhoods.

Why Smarter Arters?

When I was a kid, I loved drawing and considered my work to be art. When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’d say, “an Arter”. Well, if someone who draws is a Drawer then someone who creates art, must be an Arter, right? I may not have followed the path of creating art, but I do create meaningful connections through my Real Estate & Property Management company. I’d love for Smarter Arters to be a series that develops into meaningful works of art and conversations….and….ultimately, community involvement and harmony.

We will be offering our neighbors chances to win raffle prizes and get to know one another with a nice cool treat.
